都立水元公園の自然

都立水元公園は、都内では唯一の水郷景観を楽しめる公園です。

小合溜と水郷景観

昭和40年に開園しましたが、それからかなりの拡張工事が進められ、現在では725,095平方メートルの敷地ですが、これからも広くなるようです。

中川と江戸川が結ばれ、台風時の増水を防ぐ遊水池の目的で、小合溜が約260年前に造られました。

この小合溜から幾つもの水路がのびています。この水路から取り入れた、無料の釣堀(水元釣仙郷)などもあって、朝早くから混雑しています。

The metropolitan Mizumot park is the park where it is possible to enjoy the only water-front view in the Metropolitan area.

It opened in 1965, but then, the considerable extension construction is carried forward and is the site of the 725,095 square meter at present but seems to get widely from now, too.

Nakagawa river and Edo river were linked and for the purpose at the reservoir which prevents a rise in case of the typhoon, Koai-dame was made about 260 years before.
